Steve Gee Posted March 24, 2019 Posted March 24, 2019 As I was floating down towards the lovely waters of the Persian Gulf after eating a friendly AIM-54C in my spanking new Tomcat..thank you Unnamed Pilot. Jester was killed by the missile BTW, I'm sure a Board of Inquiry will be held :)...I wondered what would happen when I hit the water, since I didn't have any sort of personal floatation device on and, lo and behold, I sunk right to the bottom. Are there any pilots that float once they eject? Sure would be nice to have a pilot floating in his vest in the water, maybe even a good rescue mission for some brave and heroic chopper pilot to pull off? Hard to do as I'm sinking to the depths of the Gulf, though. :) "These are NOT 1 to 1 replicas of the real aircraft, there are countless compromises made on each of them" - Senior ED Member Modules - Damn near all of them (no Christian Eagle or Yak) System - Ryzen 9 7900X, 64Gig DDR5 RAM, RTX-4090, 3 32" monitors @1440, default settings of High (plus some)

Steve Gee Posted March 24, 2019 Author Posted March 24, 2019 Are the F/A-18 pilots equipped for over water flights?
