and hesitated for quite a while to post it as I didn't want to rant about other dev teams here, but I guess it's worth being grateful and showing that appreciation.

The gun of the Tomcat is so much better than the one the Hornet has. I mean, this thing hits and doesn't spray bullets all over the place... rainbowdashwink.png

Thanks HB for doing your own implementation of that thing ajmug.png

Now ED has one more reason to correct theirs finally rdlaugh.png

I’ve actually been thinking about this recently...why on earth, after all these years, has ED not fixed their broken spray-and-pray M61. In the numerous threads on the subject there is ample official documentation and examples of its 8 mil accuracy. ED won’t even comment on or acknowledge the problem. I speculate that it’s actually one of those deliberate fudges that they introduce to keep their modules from being “too real”. At least that’s the only reason I can come up with.

I’m also really glad HB went their own way with the gun.

ED has said they will address this... there are several posts in the 18 bug forum stating the spread is like 30 mil when it should be closer to 8 - 10 mil, which is what you see in the tomcat (both have the m61)

Yep, it’s literally one parameter change. To find and open the file and correct it would take less than 20 seconds. I know because that’s what I do every update. If they intended to correct the gun they would have a long time ago (like 10+ years ago when the FC F-15 was released, there were threads about it then too).

This definately has been reported to ED, but it's been a while since.

Notice the thread was closed. I think it’s safe to say it’ll never be fixed.
