midnitereaper Posted March 27, 2019 Posted March 27, 2019 Hey all! Been playing missions in the A-10c and f-15c practicing dog fights and ground attacks. In the F15 I mostly run clean sweep since it gets me into the action pretty fast. Weapons training with the A10. I also tried the f15 bear trap campaign but got stuck on the 2nd mission. So I believe I am past the tutorials but cant handle the campaigns and some of the missions are a real pain in the... So where do I go? Are there missions that can progress me thru SOP? Like in the Marines going from boot camp to MCT. This game is kinda reminding me of Ninja Gaiden were you get thru the levels like a breeze then die within 2 seconds of the boss battle.
TheSauvaaage Posted March 27, 2019 Posted March 27, 2019 I can't help with your issues, but thanks for giving me great and painful memories about Ninja Gaiden :D:thumbup:
1987kess Posted March 27, 2019 Posted March 27, 2019 All I can say is that the training missions are not so helpful. Great for cold starts, navigation, some weapons, but... It comes to my mind the F/A-18 landing training mission, yes, it explains in some kind the procedure but I had to go to Youtube and also this community to realize what I was doing wrong and how could I land properly. The same for multiple systems that are not covered in the training missions, and you want to practice what have you studied from the manuals. If you fly the A-10C, I think there are two good training campaigns based on the real ones. There is also an amazing training campaign for the L-39C Albatross, which I flown but never completed. You can try also to edit some missions on the editor removing some enemies, and this kind of things. I think the editor is where you really train all the theory.
midnitereaper Posted March 27, 2019 Author Posted March 27, 2019 ok thank you for the information. I will look into the training campaigns. Sorry for the memories Sauvaaage! This is a great group to get help from! The youtube videos are very helpful also! I stick with videos no later than 4 years. Lots of old vids for the a-10.
