VMFA117_Poko Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 Someone said time ago something about incorrect elevation and angle of pilot's view in LockOn MiG-29 in compare to the real one. Is it correct point seen in this video? Someone sat in MiG at airshow maybe? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKrjGpnIDrk
192nd_Erdem Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 When you sit in the cockpit, you should see the HUD completely in the middle. You can tell it by this video that the camera was too high for the correct position.
mcnab Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 HUD should be at eyes level, in front of you. I believe the camera in video was mounted on the helmet.
monotwix Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 Got to say some thing about them other coments below the video: O. When we talk about angles, well this pilot has got a number of them. And he seems to be doing it on his own: I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully.

And he seems to be doing it on his own: Saw the video. His AOA was too steep and once he touched down, he started panicking, hence the bouncing. Gotta say that undercarriege can take a lots of beating.
monotwix Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 Mig-29 pilots don't do that, they can come with the lightning storm and land. Different vdeos different things. I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully.
