lancerr Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Anyone else having this problem where Jester seems to have gone into quiet mode. Was flying the F14B vs Foxhounds mission. Awacs picks them up at 110 miles out and for the life of me I cannot get Jester to lock on. 75Miles out the Foxhounds lock me up and I'm still trying to get Jester to STT the first track on the VDI. I've tried changing Scan Ranges, asking him to switch to STT and I get nothing. 50Miles out, foxhounds lock on me, fire their missles and I'm still trying to get a lock on them. I have the Phoenix selcted, master and acm on, in a2a hud mode. Without AIRIO, I remember jester locking onto contacts 75Miles out. Did anything change recently? How do you all play with AIRIO and Jester.
overalien Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 For me it was like that before the VAICOM AIRIO plug in. Jester has a lot of trouble locking targets in bvr sometimes. RedeyeStorm Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 I have the feeling, no empirical evidende, that using lock 'contact ahead' is more reliable then 'bogey ahead'. Give it a shot.
Agent_wolf Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Try with ACM off at long range locking. AIRIO default command is "track single bogie ahead" [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] ANON6-1 | Wolfie
