Whoa, thanks IronMike...a lot of new information here.

I have been using NWS on takeoff so that's good to go. However, I have never heard Jester give speed callouts on takeoff...

I didn't now about they maneuvering flaps on land-based takeoffs either...I thought it was widely believed (at least I did) that it was full flaps for both land and carrier.

Thank you for helping make me a better virtual Tomcat pilot! Keep up the amazing work!

My pleasure. Note however that Jester does not give you speed callouts, only the 100 kts call. It is possible that only the voice files are in atm though, I will double check. (it has been a while that I took off from land hehe)

But yeah, once you get a feel for her and know the small bits and bobs, she really handles like a charm. Just, don't take your head off the game, or she will bite you for not paying attention hehe.

Happy training!

Thank you IronMike, and all the rest of you, for your support. Now I have input enough to train for weeks and hopefully learn to do this masterpiece more justice than at the moment.

I wish I could throw likes at you in the UI. I do it this way instead.

Fellow DCS users.

Just for you information. Today I managed to do my first successful landing on the runway. I almost had more than half the runway left when she stopped, thanks to you guys. Spoilers on and a more gentle handling on the stick to aft seemed to made the trick. I'm still to fast on touchdown (approx 170- 180 knots) but it never the less went well for the first time in my history. I will be training more, but this was a milestone for me.

So I thank you guys for all the support.

See you in air.

Michael
