  1. Hello guys. Wasn't there an update for WMR coming from MS yesterday (201208)? What happened to it? Was it any good? Did it change anything? Havn't heard about it. Regards Michael
  2. Great work and findings Notso. Thanks a lot for your efforts and for sharing them. Very useful and appriciated. Overall I find the posters in this forum very helpful and polite, so a big thumbs up to all of you. Best regards Michael
  3. One thing more that could be worth to check, if you havn't done already, is that the power cable is working as it should. If the panels don't get enough power it could be harder for them to show the pictures as they are supposed to. Especially in higher frequencies. Just a thought. Michael
  4. Can't wait to take part of your thoughts. :) Michael
  5. Don't mean so much when you don't tell the circumstances, such as your IPD (sry for writing IPS before). Are your IPD within the Rift S scale and how about the G2? Michael
  6. Daniel, What do you mean by more noticeable? Do you mean bigger and wider? Thanks for quick replay.
  7. Thanks for your answer Daniel. I already have the 1080ti and a RiftS. One thing that's disturbing me about the RiftS is the sweetspot I think. My IPS is relative big, 69 cm, and the Rift don't match it very well in my opinion. Therefore I hope the G2 can do the match better, since it have a IPS lever. Ofc, in my situation, not a billionare I am, its very important if the G2 is worth the money for me. That would depend on the picture quality as I see it. If it will be much better than I have for the time beeing, it would be top of my world and very much worth the money. Even if it will be difficult to set up. I reckon that difficulties will be one time problem and thereafter not so much more. Michael PS. Sry if I sound a little awkward, but I'm not a native speaker.
  8. Thanks Don. That's the kind of reports I am looking for. Is it worth the trouble and the money if your'e a dedicated DCS'er? Or simmer in broad?
  9. @ eaglecash and Burnerski. Well, as one of the many that right now sitting of the fence, considering paying a big part of my salary if I decide to buy it, and as a DCS lover that I am as well, it would be nice to hear folks that got it already if they feel this headset makes a difference in DCS. In the handling of flying that is. So you have to excuse me if I think your ranting of setting this thing up is not so important. I would like to hear if you think the end result when it comes to flying is ok or not. In DSC that is. If you have anything to tell us in this matter it would be great. Michael
  10. Please do. I'm sick and tired of the Oculus/Facebook software, that forces you to be a fan of Facebook, and would be very happy to take over your headset. You can ship it directly to me. I'll give you my adress in PM. Michael
  11. Maybe you want to make your headline and comment a little less demanding, shouting and acting like a three year old? Yes?
  12. Hello dear fellow flighters!:) I promised you a more complete view on the Rift S when I last wrote on this forum. Since then it has gone a couple of weeks and many of you have given your opinions. I have not much to add to the general views. I like it. And will keep it. I have an IPD of 69 and had problems in the beginning with blur effects outside a very small (compared to the CV1) sweet spot that I thought had to do with my IPD. It turned out to be a problem with the vertical tilt. Having the halo in the position it felt natural from the beginning, I have now adjusted the over head band (or what you call it) so the thing sits more "up" on my head. And that seems to have fixed the small sweet spot. Conclusion: It was no problem with the horizontal position, it was the vertical position that gave me the blurriness. :smartass: Other than that I have bought a JBL Tune 500 on ear headphones for 299 SEK (approx 30 bucks). Suits well with the Rift S halo (at least on my head) and descent sound for that money. Best regards Michael
  13. Thanks for the heads up. Will try it.
  14. Forgot to tell. I tried it in the F14. Minor improvements in the cockpit IMO. Most indicators with small text are still unreadable. Looking out the canopy though, felt definitely sharper.
