Hi. Was wondering how would it be possible to increase light(terrain, ground objects) visibility range.

 

As shown in the screenshot, there is a gap between Las Vegas and the margin of the "bubble" around the player's aircraft wich is rendered, the space between is dark.

 

I tried changing visibility range in options and nothing changed. Played with graphics file but no result either.

 

Anyone know?

graphics.lua > camera > extreme (or whatever your visibility range is set to) > structures, districts, districtobjects, objects, etc??? can crank them up to 150000.

 

extreme.lua (or whatever your visibility range is set to) > distance > townneardistance, townfardistance??? or the section called 'district'.

 

Not sure, those are the only options I could find, untested. Might kill your FPS though.

increasing that parameter will also increase the radius of the streetlights.

I love your graphics tweaks, would appreciated it if you can publish a collection of your mods and tweaks like this one, in a central place, maybe a thread you update with links and refferals to already published mods you have as well?:book:

 

What was your FPS hit like here?

I had to reduce to 2.4 to have acceptable FPS.

 

I’ve tried using this line via the autoexec.cfg but it didn’t work, other lines do work.

Had to use the mod way via jsgme.

Can it be used via autoexec.cfg?

I've failed, and would like to do it the 'proper' way recommended...
