WretchedKing Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 Can I cycle through my weapons with a switch or do I have to setup each weapon with a different button? I dont have enough buttons on my hotas for all the different weapons. I am assuming there is a weapon select switch somewhere? Thanks!
some1 Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 You can't. A2A weapons are changed using 5-way HAT and A2G weapons are selected using the MFD, there are no joystick controls. chinpok Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 On my CH products HOTAS I can map buttons to keyboard keys so I map 3 on my throttle to ALT, CRTL, SHIFT so I have almost 3 times more buttons(plus you can even use ALT+CRTL etc. combos then even more). I'm not sure if it is possible to do that with a regular joystick but I think it should be with JoyToKey.
Exorcet Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 DCS lets you make buttons into modifiers, so for example if you had a 3 button joystick with buttons 1, 2, and 3, you could set 3 as a modifier and you would end up with 4 buttons: 1, 2, 3+1, and 3+2. If you need more buttons, consider doing something similar with your controls. But A2A wepons not showing up on some of a list on the MFDS is intentional or just not implemented yet ... like to know what weapons I have without needing to select to check them? some1 Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 You can always display SMS page and change weapons from there. Hardware: VPForce Rhino, FSSB R3 Ultra, Virpil WarBRD, Hotas Warthog, Winwing F15EX, Slaw Rudder, GVL224 Trio Throttle, Thrustmaster MFDs, Saitek Trim wheel, Trackir 5, Quest Pro
