corn322 Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 My rig stutters right at the beginning when the doors open, so I benched a few seconds after that. i5 3570k @4.4GHz 8GB DDR3 @2000 8-9-9-20 GTX970 stock 18-05-2019, 18:41:32 DCS.exe benchmark completed, 9597 frames rendered in 213.890 s Average framerate : 44.8 FPS Minimum framerate : 25.5 FPS Maximum framerate : 85.8 FPS 1% low framerate : 10.0 FPS 0.1% low framerate : 8.2 FPS
gabgio Posted May 23, 2019 Posted May 23, 2019 DCS 2.5 open beta 2.5.4.30386 i7 8700k, stock, water cooled, boost @4.7GHz, actual clock ~4.6 GHz 32 GB DDR4-3200 Radeon VII, 1800MHz (stock) / 1123mV (stock) 2x M2 NVME SSD (Win10 on one, DCS on the other one) Monitor: LG 34GK950F, set at 1920x1080 in Windows DCS setting as required (HIGH, Vsync off) Radeon settings in attachment (no freesync or other AA settings). Start recording while doors open, stop recording a couple of seconds after crash and the view switches. Banded in ultrawide: 23-05-2019, 20:11:27 DCS.exe benchmark completed, 13856 frames rendered in 214.953 s Average framerate : 64.4 FPS Minimum framerate : 24.7 FPS Maximum framerate : 156.7 FPS 1% low framerate : 14.3 FPS 0.1% low framerate : 9.4 FPS Streched in ultrawide: 23-05-2019, 20:16:09 DCS.exe benchmark completed, 14469 frames rendered in 217.344 s Average framerate : 66.5 FPS Minimum framerate : 24.8 FPS Maximum framerate : 163.8 FPS 1% low framerate : 15.3 FPS 0.1% low framerate : 11.7 FPS - GPU utilization almost always at 100%, but strangely with good temperatures: junction below 80 deg all the time. For comparison, I record about 100 deg in MP.. Need to investigate this further. - I confirm that DCS needs restarting after modifying the settings, massive difference in average FPSs in certain combinations (up to a delta of 25!) I will report more on the Radeon VII on a separate thread. Nunc est bibendum, nunc pede libero pulsanda tellus
