FFB2 setup

I'm thinking of switching from flying the F-5 with my FFB2 instead of the Warthog. However I will lack some keys. Any suggestions on how to best set it up?

I use a VKB gladiator mk. ii (non pro) which only has a pinky button, trigger, top button and one hat. I use the pinky as a modifier to extend the buttons/hats on my throttle and get double the bindings. So I would pick a button on the joystick and use it as a modifier button.
