EcceHomo Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 Recent updates refer to the complete INS/GPS simulation. Will there be a GPS page? After MC OPF 15C, GPS uses a Mixed Mode Satellite Selection. Will DCS F-18C use this mode? Will AINS become an updated in feature? Ps: Voice alert appears "ROLL LEFT", which is an upgrade of MC OPF15C.

DeathAngel1 Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 Sorry for question, but is Super Hornet uses a same tgp (ATFLIR) like the Hornet? ..:NAVY PILOTS ARE THE THE BEST PILOTS:..
EcceHomo Posted May 16, 2019 Author Posted May 16, 2019 Isn‘t our Hornet intended to replicate OFP13? Are there any posts explaining this? OPF 13C has different recovery hints. TAWS should also not support OPF 13C. Of course, the complete TAWS function needs TAMMAC, and the current TAWS function is not complete.
EcceHomo Posted May 16, 2019 Author Posted May 16, 2019 Isn‘t our Hornet intended to replicate OFP13? According to SUMMARY OF APPLICABLE TECHNIC DIRECTIVES,before upgrading HMD, F-18C should configure MC OPF 19C. Although it can be found that ARC-210 DCS and TAMMAC are both upgrades before HMD, there are no two units in the game.
Chuck_Henry Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 (edited) Did the Lot 20 F/A-18 even have GPS? I thought it was purely INS. I ask because the VRS F/A-18E for P3D has POS/INS and POS/GPS options, whereas our Bug only has POS/INS. Edited May 31, 2019 by Chuck_Henry
EcceHomo Posted May 17, 2019 Author Posted May 17, 2019 Did the Lot 20 F/A-18 even have GPS? I thought was purely INS. I ask because the VRS F/A-18E for P3D has POS/INS and POS/GPS options, whereas our Bug only has POS/INS. Install Miniature Airborne Global Positioning Receiver (MAGR),the INS + GPS (aircraft 164945 AND UP),POS/XXX(AINS,INS,GPS,TCN,MIDS,ADC)。 The INS/GPS system of LOT 20F-18C is very complex, and a lot of simulation will be very difficult. MC OPF 15C's Mixed Mode Satellite Selection, which allows GPS to be used without encryption.
Hog_No32 Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 Are there any posts explaining this? [...] I based my assumption on the fact that - quite some time before the DCS Hornet came out as EA - there was a huge forum thread with the title „F/A-18C Lot 20 OFP 13C“. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=168861 That (mis?)led me to believe this is the configuration which is being modelled. I could be wrong of course and it could also be that maybe this was what ED wanted to do initially but changed their mind during the development.
Lord of War Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 NATOPS FLIGHT MANUAL NAVY MODEL F/A-18A/B/C/D 161353 AND UP AIRCRAFT Page I-2-153 In aircraft with MC OFP 13C AND UP, MC1 does an ACI configuration check after the generator comes online during a cold start power-up. Successful completion of the check is indicated by system initiation of a ″ROLL OUT″ (for OFP 13C) or ″ROLL LEFT″ (for 15C) voice alert.
