Stumbled upon this issue as someone else mentioned it in the german sub forum:

When useing the Lantirn pod to laser static objects, everything is fine. No matter if you are self dropping or you are buddy lasing.

When lasing moveing targets, then it seems that the laser is always behind the target.

If dropping bombs by ourself, they hit about 1-2meters (3-6ft) behind the target. Target is moving with around 11 knots. Lasing is always done with point track. Usualy, this is enough to detroy the target and so I did not recognized this yet.

If dropping bombs by another aircraft (so that you are buddylasing for them), bombs impact around 5m (15ft) behind the target. Sometimes this is enough to destroy it, most times is a miss.

I have a trackfile where the problem is clearly visible, however, due three other people involved and its size over 15mb, I would not like to share it public.

If HB still needs it, please PM me. Otherwise, it is quite easy to duplicate, you need only 3 people at least *ggg*.

I was hosting the mission myself, connection from all other was stable and pings have been between 20-30ms. I have been the RIO.

I'm not sure if this problem also occure if you are buddy lasing with the Harrier or A10c for another aircraft. Unfortunately, we had not the time yesterday to try that also.

But as I did not heard something regarding that before, I assume its a F-14 problem.

Thanks for sharing your observations. I haven't noticed such problems with accuracy, but I'll take a look, and check if there's anything we can do to improve the precision for you. However, this as well might be just the nature of the weapon or the profile used for the attack (the bombs use very rudimentary steering), or the networking thing, and then we won't be able to do anything on our end. I'll let you know about the results.

I can join this issue because our squadron had a buddy lasing evening and lasing moving targets was very difficult . I was in a Tomcat as pilot and had 5 hornets to my Rios disposal, he lasered very good (I watched the process the whole time) and in many cases a moving target was not hit. With the A10C this was never a problem, it was always a 100% hit.

If you need the track file im sure I can provide it but it is really big - shall I PM this and upload it somewhere?
