Aries144 Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 I tried deleting the Viggen directory in the mods folder and then running a Repair with no change. Thanks for your work guys. I'll miss my beautiful Viggen until this is sorted. :Ddcs.zip
RagnarDa Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 (edited) It's a warning that a reference point or the player is way out of the map area (or there is a memory corruption). Reference points can be placed in the mission editor, I don't remember what they are called there but they usually have names like Adder and so on. What mission are you trying to fly? Try another one, like the included quick start missions. Or try make a new mission in the mission editor and just add one viggen in the middle of the map, like over Batumi and nothing else. EDIT: Sorry, I guess it's not your mission? If you have to join this server, see if there is any other viggen slots you can try that are on some other place on the map. Or try another server. This is really strange. Is it this mission: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3246863/ ??? Edited May 20, 2019 by RagnarDa DCS AJS37 HACKERMAN There will always be bugs. Aries144 Posted May 21, 2019 Author Posted May 21, 2019 (edited) Tried a different server and also tried making a mission editor mission and placing a Viggen to start hot on the ground at Batumi- same crash, same error msgs after selecting the Viggen and clicking Fly. :( Included is the log after crashing from the single player mission.dcs.rar Edited May 21, 2019 by Aries144
Aries144 Posted May 21, 2019 Author Posted May 21, 2019 The first crash was taken from Brickler's 16AGR multiplayer server. Could this just be some files corrupted in my game install? Already tried deleting the Viggen mod folder and doing a repair, which didn't work. I'm running the open beta.
RagnarDa Posted May 22, 2019 Posted May 22, 2019 (edited) So if it's unrelated to the mission and still crash as soon as you press fly I think it has to be something wrong on your system. The only things I can think of is file corruption or memory corruption or some broken mod installed in your DCS. 1. Remove any mods if you haven't already. Possibly other software that might interfere. 2. Update any drivers you can. Windows, graphics drivers etc. 3. Try uninstall DCS completely and re install it (I know it's a lot of time unfortunately). 4. Check that your RAM is OK, maybe like this: https://www.howtogeek.com/260813/how-to-test-your-computers-ram-for-problems/ 5. Rule out any hardware problems like overheating CPU or something. Edit: Did you try the other aircrafts, like Su-25T or P-51 and did they work? Btw, I am sorry you are having this problem. RagnarDa Posted May 24, 2019 Posted May 24, 2019 Hey another thing to try first: go into saved games folder (type %SAVEDGAMES% into explorer url) and delete the DCS_AJS37 folder and try if it helps. DCS AJS37 HACKERMAN There will always be bugs. If everything is a priority nothing is.
