Odssesy + When I start DCS, the menu is behind me and on the ground

I just got my first VR headset yesterday, when I start DCS, it puts me in the Hangar with the main menu behind me and on the ground.

 

I've tried VR Center and I stay in the same position, it just makes the menu flash behind me.

 

I've tried setting my space to sitting only, same thing. It can't be this hard right?

what headset do you have?? Center key is all I know to correct this issue..

 

 

I have a Odyssey and had a similar issue happen to me when I had Open VR advanced settings installed.. If that is installed try removing it and the folders and reboot and see if you can not recenter..

 

 

Have you tried the center key inside DCS not the headsets hotkey? I think you have to program the center key in the UI Layer under options/Controls..

I did map keys to the UI Layer and all it does is make the menu flash.

 

I also have Open VR Advanced installed, dang I hope that's not it because I want to use it to setup push to talk keys to Discord. It's a pain when all your buddies are on discord and you have to search for your keyboard while in VR to talk to them.

 

But I'll try to uninstall and see what happens. Thank you for the help

Well that was it, thanks man. I guess I could mess with the settings to see what I could come up with.

Your Welcome seems for some reason installing that and I had a similar issue when installing Revive..

 

 

I wonder if there is a fix or workaround besides uninstalling it I liked the Open VR too.

 

 

How does your PC run DCS FPS wise and all?

I'm still tweaking it, my biggest problem right now is jumpy head tracking. Not sure if it's a performance/DCS thing or a headset thing with the internal tracking. No other games give me trouble with tracking so the tweaking continues.

@kung fu - Are you using a hotas? I have discord PTT mapped to one of my buttons on my throttle using DirectX so I don't need any other software beyond discord to talk.

Yes in DCS , but for other games such as Onward i'd like to be able to use discord at the same time because standing up in VR searching for my PTT button on my mouse while in VR is a pain. Helps to communicate before setting up the MP session as well.

Ah I got ya - With an index inbound I'm about to have that same problem. Been using DCS exclusively so far but will expand when the new HMD arrives.

With my specs in my sig, and a PD set to 1.5, I'm getting around 40-45 fps in most aircraft in single player.

 

That's about all I can squeeze out of it without making it look like a pixel jigsaw puzzle.

I chose to move the supersampling to SteamVR so my PD is 1.0 but my SteamVR SS is 180%.

 

I use the reprojection and MSAAx2 and get a smooth experience...
