IanHenry Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 I've decided to do a complete re-install of my PC but prior to that I exported all my control settings from: Saved Games-DCS.openbeta-Config-Input. When I'd re-installed DCS I put the files into the input folder and on starting the sim on the controls page I imported my settings file hoping that I wouldn't have to re-map all my controls. It didn't work:( If anyone can suggest where I'm going wrong I'd very much appreciate it. many thanks, Ian

Although it seems like it should have worked. If you didn't reformat the HD, do you still have access to the old config/input folder? I usually copy that and recopy it back. hsb HW Spec in Spoiler --- i7-10700K Direct-To-Die/OC'ed to 5.1GHz, MSI Z490 MB, 32GB DDR4 3200MHz, EVGA 2080 Ti FTW3, NVMe+SSD, Win 10 x64 Pro, MFG, Warthog, TM MFDs, Komodo Huey set, Rverbe G1

Weegie Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 Agree it should work, I have just done something similar and no problem Did you unplug any of the controllers? If you did and then mixed them up (ie into different ports or put them onto a hub) If you did then Windows miight have reassigned the controllers to new adresses. Alternatively Windows can just do wierd crap on ocassions. Go into you Config\Input"Aircraft"\joystick folder and look to see if there are more than one set of files per controller. If there are you should be able to determine the old controller files from new conntroller file Once you know then make a backup of them somewhere. Copy the new filename to the old file and move or delete the new ones. With the old files given the giive the new filename your settings should be back
