Sometimes can't activate controls at rear of cockpits

Quite often, my mouse click doesn't work controls in the rear of cockpits. A good example being the oxygen control in the Tomcat. If I move the cursor a little forward, then I can activate controls further forward from, say, the oxygen OK.

Now, to make this even more interesting, when I exit DCS, all sorts of things have happened on my desktop! Obviously, all my attempted clicks in DCS have been doing something completely different on my desktop, e.g. opening Task Manager, seeing display properties, etc.

I think we may have had a thread on this before, but I couldn't find it if there was.

Any ideas on this?

There is an in-game setting to confine the mouse to the DCS window. I lean forward and hit the center view button I have mapped to my throttle. Then sit back normally. This will allow me to hit those buttons. When I’m done I just re-set the view to normal.

even with the mouse confined to window it can still temporarily leave the box and click outside.

(its how I get control of the mouse when I lift my headset in VR. I left click while its outside to unlock the mouse.)

move the windows taskbar to the side of the screen to avoid clicking on taskbar shortcuts when looking to the side and down.

how I use the back switches in the harrier and ka50.

Thanks guys. Useful.

Inspired by the repositioning suggestion from @Thick8, what seems to work for me, is to move the cockpit camera way back. I always have up/down/forward/back bound to my HOTAS using Lever+Mic Switch directions.

X2 on the repositioning. That's what I find works. Use the hand controller to reset position further back. Adjust required switches and then re position for my normal flying position, works fine.
