A Combat sim need to spend CPU cycles on things OTHER than the FM as well sadly. A LOT of CPU cycles on -other- things ...

Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D

I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda

I know it has nothing to do with combat ... that is why I want little to do with it. ;)

I'm not saying it isn't a great product - just not my cup of tea.

That's a bold statement. What do you base this on?

Serously, you need to try that. You can feel things like turbulence vortex wake coming from other airplanes, a very realistic thermics simulation (it depends of terrain and clouds position; weather are dynamic) and other interesant stuff. It's a piece of cake. I think is better that ED's AFM too (However AFM is great!)

Regards!!

All true, it's a superb gliding sim.

But it doesn't include stuff like supercritical airflow (Mach effects), stores weight/drag, battle damage effects, recoil, hydraulics, engine models . . . so they can spend more time on the gliding stuff.

There's just so much more to do in a combat sim . . . .
