BaD CrC Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 We are keep having the AI not engaging our MP pilots on the dedicated server (updated with today's patch). I have raised and seen this issue elsewhere since the previous patch but anyone know what to do to restore a more AI aggressive behavior? Is it this -norender option that you have to remove in the shortcut? Thanks. https://www.blacksharkden.com http://discord.gg/blacksharkden
Shahdoh Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Yes, you need to run the server the old way, off a full install, without the --norender option. The --server option is still usable so it goes straight in and runs the mission as setup.
BaD CrC Posted July 4, 2019 Author Posted July 4, 2019 (edited) Thanks Shahdoh. I will try that. So running the old way is loosing the Webui management interface then. Edited July 4, 2019 by BaD CrC https://www.blacksharkden.com http://discord.gg/blacksharkden
Shahdoh Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 I don't think so, that should be enabled by the --server which is still usable. You also can still use "options.graphics.render3D = false" in the autoexec.cfg (As well as all of the other optimized settings usually found there). We find that DCS still chews through ram like crazy, but our AI on Warbirds of Prey is functioning properly.
BaD CrC Posted July 5, 2019 Author Posted July 5, 2019 I don't understand why it is not on top of ED list to correct this. And I don't understand why no one is more vocal about this? Is it not systematic? https://www.blacksharkden.com http://discord.gg/blacksharkden
Shahdoh Posted July 5, 2019 Posted July 5, 2019 The are quite aware, in a recent post, it was admitted that it is a more complicated issue than they first thought, but they ARE working on it. There have been at least 3 other threads on the issue and is what made ED aware in the first place.
BaD CrC Posted July 5, 2019 Author Posted July 5, 2019 Ah OK. Thanks https://www.blacksharkden.com http://discord.gg/blacksharkden
