Bestandskraft Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 (edited) The groundspeed indication both on the ECMD and the TID does not take into account the aircraft's pitch. For example, in a no wind situation, with 90° positive or negative pitch (disregarding AoA), your groundspeed should be zero. In the game, in this example, the groundspeed instead equals true airspeed. While I have found no information in the RL or game manuals on how the actual aircraft calculates and displays groundspeed, the behaviour described above seems counterintuitive.
