Razorback Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 (edited) I don't know about you, but DCS is crashing quite regularly when flying with the F-14b in the PG map. Sometimes only long Freezing of the image and sometimes even crash of DCS. I have installed different missions from users and some are not even playable. I have a very powerfull hardware configuration and I had never problems or freezing during the past (Ok I just installed a second screen for my F-14 with the HSE and VDI). On the other maps (Nevada and Caucasus) no worries, all is up and running very well. When starting the mission editor I am quite surprised because the map at the beginning takes a long time to display correctly, even more when it's the PG map. Is this also the case for some of you? For your information I have the OpenBeta version, SP missions only. Thx a lot, Chris Edited July 16, 2019 by IronMike

Thx a lot, Chris I know you said "I have a very powerful hardware configuration" but it might help to go ahead and list those details anyways. Delta59R Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 We have very similar systems so I will time the loading of map editor and get back to you. Also to be very clear you have 32gb of ram? not 2x8=16? Also what is your page file set to? Delta59R Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Map editor load times ranged from 8 to 27 seconds, switching back and forth with (create new) between all 3 maps. The initial loading of the map would take ~27sec but after that going back to it a few minutes later would take ~8sec. Single player missions with F14B, (the 4 Persian gulf missions) took between 8 and 16 sec to fully load to briefing screen, sitting in cockpit on aircraft carrier. Again the first mission I selected took 16sec and the other 3 took 8 seconds. I can only assume some of the data was already loaded and that's why it was twice as fast on the last 3. Same thing with mission editor. Razorback Posted July 14, 2019 Author Posted July 14, 2019 Yes I have 2 x 16 Gb RAM. I have just installed the last update of the OpenBeta version. It appears that the previous one was not properly installed ! So everything is now back as normal... Thxx for your support, Chris Delta59R, same for me, first mission take a while when loading and gest faster afterwards...
