Saber42 Posted July 23, 2019 Posted July 23, 2019 Hi all. In the recent update I have noticed that the HOF on the CBU-99 and Mk20 seems not to be working, the canisters will always burst a 800ft regardless off HT setting. Ive attached a track file where I drop 1 Mk20 set at 1500ft and then another at 2200ft. after I repeated with 2 CBU-99s. All canisters burst at 800ft-ish. backspace340 Posted July 23, 2019 Posted July 23, 2019 The burst height is set physically on the bomb, the HT setting on the stores page is just to make the avionics match the bomb's settings so your CCIP/AUTO drop are in the right place. The bomb is supposedly set to 1500 and Wags has said that we always have to set the HT to 1500 to match. Changing the HT to a different figure will just make your bomb inaccurate, and not change the burst height.
Ramsay Posted July 23, 2019 Posted July 23, 2019 (edited) In the recent update I have noticed that the HOF on the CBU-99 and Mk20 seems not to be working, the canisters will always burst a 800ft regardless off HT setting. The bomb is supposedly set to 1500 and Wags has said that we always have to set the HT to 1500 to match. The defaults in "cluster_bomb.lua" are • default_delay = 1.2 s • default_open_height = 457 m = 1,500 ft A Tacview file from playing the replay shows the canisters are bursting approx. 1.2 seconds after passing 1,500 ft which explains the lower than expected burst height.
