Eagle7907 Posted August 23, 2019 Posted August 23, 2019 I built a mission that is a package that has escort flight, SEAD flight, and Strike flight. The escort and strike elements are US, the SEAD is Georgian. There is AWACS coverage for the battlefield. On the Hornet SA page, it does show all US aircraft but it doesn’t show the Georgian flight in my strike package. It should at least show an unknown HAFU from the AWACS host. It’s completely not present. Almost like they are stealth SU-25s. QuiGon Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 I think friendly non Link-16 capable assets are by design not intended to show up on the DL. You're right though that they could show up as contacts detected by the AWACS, just like enemy contacts do. So I think this is intended and not a bug, but even then the question remains why ED decided for friendly non Link 16 capable assets to not show up if detected by AWACS? Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
Eagle7907 Posted September 11, 2019 Author Posted September 11, 2019 They should, that's the whole idea of AWACS. Having additional surveillance for finding contacts you can't, not filter contacts you want.
