The Su-27 nosewheel stuck on to its surface after landing stop with half fuel. In comparison the dried Groom Lake is good for landing+taxi+takeoff. An Su-27 with half fuel weighs more than many fully loaded aircraft (27s have a LOT of internal fuel). Not all surfaces are equal. Try with even less fuel, or perhaps a lighter aircraft and see if it still sticks. Btw, Groom Lake is where it is SPECIFICALLY because the salt flats are a good natural runway, hard and dense and capable of bearing great weight. discwalker Posted September 10, 2019 Author Share Posted September 10, 2019 (edited) In DCS any road can hold any flyable planes. This runway is not modeled as runway surface. Modeled like grass or sand. The wheels of the MiG-29A are smoking on it. Even public road on it. The landing stop is bumpy with both planes. If you not explode on touchdown with MiG-29. (Less than 1T fuel) Concrete should not melting like ice cream. MiG-29 can stuck as well, wheels under the "surface".
