OK so my new rig has arrived and up. Looking for optimization advice. I have never used GeForce Experience, as it does not ship with Quadro boards. This one time, I decoded to experiment and drop in a med-high 2060 Super gamer board instead of planned Quadro P4000 or RTX4000. I don't think DCS even supports Nvidia GPU RTX raytracing. Redshift and Arnold (Beta GPU) uses Cuda for hardware rendering. My Maya, Houdini, and Realflow all suppourt OpenCL.

HP Z440 wkstation, 64 GB ECC Registered 2666Mhz RAM (4X16g) in dual chanell, CPU Xeon E5-1630V4, GPU Nvidia reference 2060 Super FE 8GB, OS: Win10 Pro. HD HP TurboZ SSD 256gb boot, WD Blue SataIII 6GB SSD 1TB storage. 525W PS.

Screens Pri: Asus 27" 2560X1440 144Hz, Samsung 27" 2560X1440 144Hz, Asus 25" 1920X0180 60hz.

HOTAS: X56 Rhino

Workstation itself is somewhat dated and is refurbed. I figure it originally shipped in 2015.

P.S. on GPU. Hard to beleive but this one and only time that Best Buy came through. They had the board I was looking for, and had lowest price, even though it was MSRP at $399.

I don't know whats going on with GPU world regarding availability, but everything is awfully overpriced. Even lowly 1660Ti are in upper 300's.

Same for ECC registered memory. Z440 absolutely refused to recognize HyperX 16gbX4 2666 Mhz, non-ECC sticks. Like there are not even there. I was hoping that the MB would just run without ECC . But no.
