I ran 4 AI Hornets with 4 Harpoons each and made them attack a stand-alone Kuznetsov (which defended itself.) Of the sixteen (16) Harpoons launched, 12 hit the carrier solidly. Yet the ship still sailed on.

 

I should like to demonstrate why an aircraft carrier (compartmentalized as they all are) probably would not survive 3 or 4 Harpoon hits... let alone 12 of them. (Skip ahead to 1:10 to see the actual hit.)
