Audio filter to make comms sound realistic

Hey all, sorry if this is in the wrong subforum.

 

Is there an audio filter that makes voices of either AI or RL comms sound more "real", more like they're being spoken over a plane's radio rather than through a computer mic to your speakers? I thought I heard this on a popular DCS YT's channel. I am aware of voice attack and vaicom's DCS plugin and I haven't started using them yet but I think those aren't what I'm talking about.
