Thrustmaster Warthog China Hat stucko well constructed in so many ways but this

Hi all

My Grey/white China hat, when it is being used in its cockpit viewing mode, has become stuck so that it just keeps panning right and depending on what we are flying it can just go around and around. Strangely it does not seem to have affected its trimming function. It’s one if my best toys this! And it is so well constructed in so many ways that this is a bit surprising and disappointing. Anyway, be grateful for advice. Is is a tough job to change the switch yourself? Is there any good source of instruction out there I can use?

Thanks all

Neil.

This suggest that HAT is incorrect assigned for control camera views, check the controls assignments.

No, unfortunately it is correctly assigned. It has been working ok for some time except that there was this gradual tendency for the trim, China hat, Hat switch etc, to get briefly stuck on moving to the right. For some time now it hasn’t bothered me because I could stop it and move it back. Then, last night it got completely stuck and couldn’t be corrected.

Are you saying that it is physically sticks in the right position? Or that even though it returns to the center it continues to command right camera slew?

Thanks for the reply

It doesn't physically stick, but when you are using it to pan around the cockpit it pans to the right and keeps going even when you physically stop applying pressure in that direction as though some internal connector, contact will not release. When it is used with P3Dv4 aircraft it just keeps going around and around: it spins dizzyingly. But no, it doesn't stick physically (or doesn't appear to -- don't know what's going on inside), and in fact when it is being used as a trim switch it seems to work normally???

OK. The HAT pole don't stuck, but can happens that tactile micro-switch inside stuck pressed:

The four tactile micro switch inside a (joystick) HAT.

You can confirm this in Windows Games Controllers, press HAT right and look in test panel if right will be always highlight. Then you have a hardware problem.
