bies Posted October 25, 2019 Posted October 25, 2019 I saw there are two assembly option. I have read theory behind them on their page, but which option is more useful practically; replacing Warthog's electronic or using it? cheers
Lobinjaevel Posted October 25, 2019 Posted October 25, 2019 You don't really need the warthog PCB for it to work, that's just if you want to be able to still map all the buttons as a warthog stick, and just the axis on the fssb. I only use the FSSB and see no negativ side to that, it's just an opition if you want to map it as a warthog for any reason :)
Ranma13 Posted October 25, 2019 Posted October 25, 2019 If you use TARGET, then you'll want to go with using the Warthog base's electronics. Otherwise, there's no need. With the Warthog's electronics, the base will need 2 USB cables, one for the stick's buttons so that TARGET still recognizes it as a TM Warthog base, and another for the FSSB R3 base so that it can use the force sensors.

Or i'm going to miss something? BTW. When it comes to Target i don't use it since everything works out of the box.
Ranma13 Posted October 25, 2019 Posted October 25, 2019 Yes, the Warthog stick works perfectly fine on the FSSB R3 with all buttons supported. The only reason why you'd want to go the two-board route is if you need TARGET's programming capabilities. Otherwise, it's pointless to install the Warthog base's board.
