Specter Posted October 29, 2019 Posted October 29, 2019 Has anyone else seen these odd numbers and know what they mean. I've only noticed them since last update (2.5.5.38140) https://drive.google.com/open?id=1h3XaodF-TpEwhVlcF9-Mbm4k1o_a2fbN i7-10700K @ 5Ghz | Asus Z490 Tuf Pro Gaming | RTX 3090 | 64 Gb RAM @3.6Ghz | 1TB Samsung 970 EVO+ SSD | 1TB addlink S70 M.2 SSD | 1TB Samsung 850 EVO | 4TB HDD | Reverb G2 | Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS | Thrustmaster TPR rudder pedals | Thrustmaster Cougar MFDs
Harker Posted October 29, 2019 Posted October 29, 2019 1) The top number (9591) is the fuel amount of fuel in lbs that you'll have remaining at that point, based on your current flight characteristics and engine setting. It's calculated by the FPAS. 2) The bottom number (21 or 27?) is counting down and when it reaches 0, it gives you the point that you should start descending, for an optimal descent profile towards the TACAN/Waypoint. I don't remember the exact throttle setting for the descent profile (IDLE or something else). Note for 2: Some people are claiming that it seems to be working weirdly, since it's supposed to give you an optimal distance from the point IRL, not count down. This is what I've read here, not my info. I also haven't checked if its behavior has changed in a recent update without me noticing it. If it's still counting down as you approach the point, the above apply. In any event, it works either way. The vCVW-17 is looking for Hornet and Tomcat pilots and RIOs. Join the vCVW-17 Discord.
