  1. Ah, thanks. Think this was firmly in the RTFM catagory
  2. Using DotRendererExperiment = False does not seem to affect my game. Still got big spoldges for air and ground targets. Lets hope this gets toned down, user selectable in the future.
  3. I'm finding with this mod installed the game is failing IC. It never used to. Has something changed? In using OB ver 2.8.6.41363.
  4. I have also had this happen twice at random times when in VR (G2) 1st time I had to hold power button to recover but the second time I left it alone and it eventually (few minutes) restarted the system itself. Not sure it is exactly the same issue but it sounds it. VR and monitor black but still hear game through speakers. I checked the Windows Event Viewer and no clues in there other that it complaining about improper shutdown! Next time it happens I'll send logs.
  5. Ditto. Removed Necksaver app, problem solved.
  6. Glad it wasn't just me! That was a good start. Everything appears upside down and back to front in the HMD (Reverb G2). X/Y/Z movements are reversed, the SU27 in the hangar is hanging upside down from the roof and the menu looks like you are seeing it from behind as if it is written on a clear window and you are reading if from the wrong side! Images within the mirror are the correct way up. I found a temp fix by running the OpenXR mod instead of the native OpenXR. The HMD is now the correct way round, however the VR Mask within the mirror is still inverted. It seems to be working in MT as I now get 75 FPS in a MP server where only yesterday I was lucky to get 15! I have attached the DCS log and DXDIAG log as requested but I don't know how much worth they will be. dcs.log DxDiag.txt
  7. Works oh for me. If I set ManRng to 1000 it stays there when re-WASing the gun.
  8. Currently when you jump into the CPG seat then back to the Pilot seat the force trim resets to centre causing a sudden pitch up. It would be good if it stayed where you set it!
  9. I'm not sure I understand what you mean here.
  10. Not for me it isn't. This is a shame as without it I find the image dragging, shuddering that occurs when I move my head a real deal breaker. Please fix soon. PS, OpenXR worked fine before you tried to use it natively.
  11. Too many changes in 2 days, I am now really confused! I have been running DCS OB with Open XR for a while now and had my setup pretty well tuned! Then came along 2.8.2.35632 Open Beta and all of a sudden it was broken!! I was suffering the same crashing due to Motion Re-projection Always On as everyone else, so I reluctantly set it to Auto and had a small performance degradation. I was relatively excited to read that DCS now natively supported Open XR and assumed it was just a case of ED fixing the hang up due to Always On and for me to retune my settings. I logged on the discord today to see a hot fix. Was really excited until I found out the hot fix was to remove the auto OpenXR functionality. I see we now need a command line parameter to get Open XR functionality. I use Skatezilla’s DCS Updater Utility to launch DCS. How do I include a command line parameter in that? "motion reprojection crash is fixed" isn't really fixed, is it? If it had there would be no reasong to hide it behind a command line entry. Has it not just been hidden out of the way so the less inquisitive don't find it again?
  12. https://www.alamy.com/stock-photo-british-military-antennae-in-the-akrotiri-western-sovereign-base-area-26525584.html Kinda close to the road for a bombing range!
  13. Oh! Is than new? Thanks for the pointer.
  14. The BS3 seems to have replaced the BS2's monocular sight reticle with what looks like a NVG display that has no symbology on it. In the BS2 the HMS could be used to slew the SHKVAL into the area of the target but this new sensor has no symbology and is completely useless in daylight. Have I missed something or has this ability been lost on this "upgrade"?
  15. I also have this issue but I have done some diagnosis. Once I join an MP server any aircraft I am in (not the AH-64) and if I select the controller assignment screen it defaults to the aircraft I am in. Once I have been in the AH-64 it then doesn't matter what aircraft I jump into, the controller assignment screen is stuck in the AH-64! It is as if the AH-64 hijacks that screen. I have run a full repair (the long one) and that has not resolved the issue. I have also tried it jumping from various SP instant action scenarios and as soon as I do anything with the AH-64 the control assignment screen is locked to the AH-64 regardless of what I jump in after it. It appears the only thing that un-sticks the control assignment screen after the AH-64 is a DCS restart. This has the potential to be an excessively annoying bug!
  16. Maybe what I am seeing is the shadow from the static aircraft, that would but shouldn't be cast on the sea surface, bleeding through onto the deck. It would fit in with some of my other observations and with what you are seeing in the P-51 above.
  17. In VR I now have some strange behavour with shadows appearing in cockpit. On the CVN deck thte shadow of the statics follow me around on the inside of the canopy. Also when airborne you can see your own shadow, that is being projected onto the ground, on the cockpit floor. This picture show the shadow of the statics that were following me around!
  18. There is a lot of talk about the British Spey powered Phantom on this thread but what has not been mentioned, unless I have missed it, is the Brits had 2 distinctly different Spey powered models of Phantom. The FG1 (aka F4K) did not have a battery so could not be operated unsupported, It also only had a mechanical Nav Computer so no INS (or INAS as it was called) thereby relying on a second Gyro backup attitude system. It also didn’t have a long range Comms Radio system but it did have a hydraulic wingfold. It’s extendable nose leg had been disabled by the time I got my hands on it in the RAF but the AOA traffic lights on the nose door still worked. The FGR2 (aka F4M) did have a battery so could operate unsupported in a limited fashion. It also had INAS and a HF radio for long range comms. Like the FG1 it had BLC flaps and slats but it did not have a slatted stab and it only had manual wing fold. This model had a standard Nose leg and no AOA traffic lights. It also didn't have the catapult bridle hooks on the underside unlike the FG1 that did. I cannot comment of the F4J(UK) as I never worked on it.
  19. Is there still a way to do this without breaking IC? The speech files seem to now be hidden behind encryption!
  20. I think I might be one of the 64GB people Mav was referring to. Attached is a screen grab of my resource monitor just before DCS stopped responding. My specs are in the sig. Similar missions on PG map has about 34GB used.
