I got blacked out when flying as RIO at some altitude, but turning on the oxygen didn't make a difference. You can see this effect in the video I've made: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJd78BYml0Y

Openbeta, 2.5.5.38756.1 flying out of the mission editor, single plane, nothing else.

Anyone else?

Odd. Nothing has been changed on that side. Can you reproduce it? Might be just a loading bug, in terms parts of the systems didnt get initiated properly, etc.. Hard to say.

Sure, I'll give it one more try very soon, will report back mate!

I can reproduce it:

As pilot:

.) Cold start

.) Let the oxygen switch at OFF

.) Fly

Switch to RIO position:

.) RIO Oxygen switch is OFF! (didn't touch it so far)

.) Black out somewhere at angels 35

.) Now the point is: Turning ON oxygen at RIO seat doesn't do anything.

See this track file here 2019-11-07_F-14B_Oxygen_thing.trk

Sorry for bad takeoff behaviour, nasty switching of applications (geforce experience was popping up all the time), brought me often back to desktop thus I miss the runway center line during take-off a few times.

EDIT: funny part is, that if I turn ON oxygen on the pilot's seat during startup, and the RIOs switch is set to OFF, I never black out due to altitude on the RIO seat! Thus my conclusio right now is: It seams that switching ON oxygen on the pilot seat makes oxygen available for both seats, no matter what is set on the RIO seat!

Now I think you might find your way into the code easier ...

Very good points, thank you very much. Seems that in a single instance oxygen is handled via pilot only, and in MC each seat via its own oxygen. Jester doesn't seem to turn it on either (also a bug), but that doesnt seem to have an effect. It is a minor bug, since ofc you should not fly with your oxygen off, but it is a bug nonetheless. Thanks again for putting it together so nicely for us, I wouldn't have caught that in ages.

De nada amigo.

As ralfidude said sometimes ago: "... modeled damn near perfection"

(I dont care if he meant the other beast ... , it seems a "heat blur thing" to me that they try to code things near perfection)!

Let's polish this wonderful beast TO perfection!

Happy hunting in the code! :smartass:
