Fish Posted November 6, 2019 Posted November 6, 2019 Hi all, Thinking of making a simple generic button box with some toggle switches, buttons and rotaries. Have a leo bodnar board, and wondering where to get components. Bodnar looks pricey for this stuff (most I can see on ebay). Particularly looking for a suitable 'BOX' say 120x80x30mm. (cant see anything on ebay). Any advice / pointers would be appreciated. Fri13 Posted November 6, 2019 Posted November 6, 2019 Does it need to be a box? As you can find all kind different boxes in various electronic stores, car part shops etc. You can even find a metal plate that you use as the board where you drill holes for all etc. The common ones you quickly find in ebay are these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/ABS-Plastic-Waterproof-Cover-Project-Electronic-Instrument-Case-Enclosure-Box/254098920815 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Aluminum-DIY-Instrument-Case-Project-Box-Enclosure-Case-Electronic/382409771457 It is 20mm shorter than your 120 mm and 80 mm, but otherwise commonly OK. i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S. i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K.
Fish Posted November 6, 2019 Author Posted November 6, 2019 Does it need to be a box?...………... Thanks for the links. You are quite right, Actually I have a bit of aluminium 2mm plate. Will try to get some Teflon (or even some hard wood) to use as the sides. Can even wedge it,.
