Red Earth Posted November 22, 2019 Posted November 22, 2019 I've downloaded various user content training missions for NTTR but I don't know the correct folder directory to deposit them to show up as training in the menu. I can only get them to show as missions alongside all other missions in that part of the menu. My question therefore is how do we get training missions to display in NTTR in the correct training section of the menu? What is the correct folder directory?

What is the correct folder directory? You can't ... at least not easily. Missions in DCS are classed as follows: Training Missions Instant Action Missions Single Missions Campaigns User Single Missions & Campaigns Custom user's missions are allowed only on the last class ... it corresponds to the folder: /Saved Games/DCS/Missions ... and within the game you can see the contents of this Folder on My Missions: and My Campaigns: However, you can organize your user missions using Folders .. so, just create a folder named "Training" within /Saved Games/DCS/Missions/ and you are set .. on my case, I prefer to group the missions by Map, within that I group them on Single Player or Multiplayer and finally the missions themselves :) Edited November 22, 2019 by Rudel_chw For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
Red Earth Posted November 22, 2019 Author Posted November 22, 2019 You can't ... at least not easily. Thanks for your response. At least it confirms what I expected. I already have applied a similar custom folder structure to the one you have outlined to contain training missions. However let's face it, this is not ideal - it looks unpolished and an unfinished aspect of the module - furthermore given the fact that it's very easy in terms of coding to link folder content to the main UI menu, I just don't understand why the devs haven't already taken care of this!? We live in hope! Thanks again!
Rudel_chw Posted November 22, 2019 Posted November 22, 2019 ... I just don't understand why the devs haven't already taken care of this!? Probably they want a very clear distinction between content provided by the official developers vs content provided by Users. It is possible to overcome this, trough the use of MODs .. for example this is one that I did for the MiG-29: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=222382 But it is a lot of work and so nowadays I prefer to simply keep my content on "My Missions" :) Cheers.
