Nealius Posted December 9, 2019 Posted December 9, 2019 I'm having a strange issue with the radar not showing any contacts, and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. When the radar works Cold start, mixed payload of SD-10 and PL-5, radar on, contacts appear normally. When the radar doesn't work Hot ramp start, payload of 4x PL-5, radar on, contacts not appearing. Bandits are high aspect, 22k ft. I am also 22k feet. Antenna elevation set between 19-25k. Checking all ranges from 80 all the way into 10. Contacts refuse to appear. Reproducible.

I didn't see anything on radar and I couldn't get any locks in dogfight or boresight modes. Thought I was crazy. The strange thing was that my Fox 2 didn't hit either. I could be flying behind a bandit at the same speed and the ir seaker found the bandit. But the fox 2 would still fly straight. Bug maybe? When the radar is in silent. johnv2pt0 Posted December 17, 2019 Posted December 17, 2019 (edited) Just had this happen to me as well. Hot start @ 30k' nose on a willing human target. Radar NOT in standby or sil...cycled them on / off multiple times to try to get it. EDIT: Tried it again after leaving server and reconnecting. Worked. Scenario exactly the same. Might be related to the issue where electrical power didn't work on first try? I will report back if I have time to test it. Edited December 17, 2019 by johnv2pt0
