PROBLEM WITH 8800 GT

I recently upgraded from 7800 gt to 8800 gt. Then i reinstalled Lockon Flaming Cliffs.

Now, using high settings for shadows, shadows selfcasting over su-25t (for example) are wrong. The whole aircraft is grayish like, and there are no shadows of weapons over airframe. The whole airframe is darkened, and there are no shadows from weapons abd pylons over airframe?

I'm afraid it's a bug that Lock On has with nVidia cards (and apparently sometimes with ATI cards).

 

You just have to set shadows to one less in the settings (can't remember the name of it now: 'All Planar'?)

AFAIK, ED contacted nVidia and it appears that GF8800 doesn't fully support DX8, which LO using :( So we'll wait for new engine for DCS on OpenGL.

I had the same problem using a 7800GT some time ago, so it's not just an 8800 issue.

with 7xxx it was only drivers problem.
