Nickkerkwijk Posted December 25, 2019 Posted December 25, 2019 Hi, i noticed a difference in the brakes between a cold start and a hot start. It seems that the brakes are 'sticky' in a cold start. If i accelerate and put the throttle to idle the jet always slows down as if i apply the brakes. In a hot start it will roll much further. Does anyone experience the same behavior? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Tiger-II Posted December 26, 2019 Posted December 26, 2019 No issues here. Try operating your brakes before taxi in case they're partially applied for some reason. Do you need more thrust when they "stick" to get the aircraft moving in the first place? I haven't check to see if the parking brake auto-releases in the JF-17, however if the aircraft is moving I would think it was released anyway (AFAIK it applies full brake pressure when selected).
