Screen flash + loss of control input

Since the past few Open Beta updates, I have been experiencing the following problem...

 

The screen will flash once and very briefly (like it does when pressing ALT + ENTER), a black box with the DCS logo also appears in the center of the screen during this brief flash. Once done, I find that I have lost all control inputs for a few seconds. Randomly pressing some buttons will eventually resolve the issue. This only happens once per session and all is normal afterwards. It has happened in various aircraft and on various maps.

 

Any thoughts as to what this could be?

Try updating your gpu driver.

 

If you continue to have it happen please attach your dcs log we may see some clues in there

Hi

 

go to

 

C:\Users\brian\Saved Games\DCS\

 

delete your fxo and metashader2 folders.

 

Then run a cleanup and repair ( guide in sig below ) or verify for steam users

 

Restart DCS it will generate new shaders which will take a little longer.

 

and test.

 

Also ensure windows and all drivers are up to date.

Thank you again for all the advice...I have attempted all of that already while troubleshooting on my end with no success.

 

The only thing that I can think of is that DCS is losing focus for some reason...maybe due to the Logitech Gamepad I have connected or something else.

 

It happens within the first 5-10 minutes of first starting DCS and never happens again within the same session.

Don't have much time to test right now, but just did a quick 10 minute flight and it seems to have fixed the problem!

 

I will test more thoroughly at another time, but this may be the fix!

Hmm, so I may have spoken too soon.

 

Did some flying today....first flight, I got the brief screen flash again(during startup), but this time I didn't lose control input...I lost control input a few minutes later (right after raising the gear on takeoff). Strange stuff, will need to investigate further. FYI, the gear lever is mapped to a axis on my gamepad...still think that's causing the issue somehow.
