[RESOLVED]Crash in DCS default Mission

I am currently on the Mi-8.

Everytime that I want to launch an INSTANT ACTION, CREATE FAST MISSION or MISSION on DCS, the game is crashing (Open Beat 2.5).

It's not only happenning with the Mi-8 module, same issues with my other installed modules like KA-50, F-14,...

 

I am not in multiplayer and other missions created under the mission editor are working perfectly without any crashes!

 

Some of the mission are freezing during the loading process "Wait for Pooled tasks 2" or when zooming on the map.

Can we ask you to attach your dcs log when it happens we will look for clues.

 

I have a some crash advice below in my signature which may help.

 

Also ensure all drivers and windows is up to date.

Windows is up to date (Win 10 last version).

I have done a cleanup and a repair, same issue.:huh:

DCS log ? could you tell me more on that ?

DCS log can be found in your saved games dcs folder

 

Example C:\Users\yourname\Saved Games\DCS\Logs

 

You may have zip files in the folder generated after a crash attach them here or just your file called dcs.

you can delete everything in the log folder, it will save some space for you :)

Ok Had a quick look, things to try,

 

go into online mode

 

remove all unofficial modifications in DCS and your saved games DCS folder

 

C:\Users\Christophe\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Mods

 

run a cleanup and repair

 

Ensure your windows and display driver are up to date.

 

Then retest, let me know how you get on, if you crash again please attach the new dcs log.

So, I followed step by step what you request and it is still not resolved.

Same issue.

The game is still freezing when loading a mission (except for the missions edited by myself)

When I had crashes at loading stage last time

 

my SSD was faulty.

It is worth a penny to try to copy the whole DCS installation to an another folder. To see all files are readable in whole or not.

EDIT: I exactly got a lot of IN_PAGE_ERROR as you are

I have an older version (2.5.3) on my D: Drive

I just tested and it's working fine.

I am now moving this version on my C: Drive (SSD Drive)

I let you know when update and loaded with some of my last modules (F-14 & Mi-8)

Problem solved.

DCS reinstallation from an older version.

5 modules reinstalled.

No failure on my SSD Drive

All is up and running again.
