Fakum Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 I recently upgraded to a LG - UltraGear 38" IPS LED UltraWide HD G-SYNC Monitor and a 2080 Ti FTW3 GPU. Graphics settings in DCS are pretty much maxed out, and I run a pretty solid 60 – 80 fps. My monitor refresh rate is set to 120 hz, with G-Sync on. I get screen tearing. I have no why, and no idea if it’s a monitor or GPU issue. I don’t have a spare monitor or GPU to swap out to test. I also do not have any other games/sims. Any idea on how to troubleshoot? Thanks, Windows 10 Pro - 64 Bit / ASUS ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming / AMD 7800X3D / G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO 64GB DDR5 6000 Ram / SSD M.2 SK hynix Platinum P41 2TB / MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 SUPRIM Liquid X 24G / SteelSeries Arctis 7 Headset /LG-Ultragear 38" IPS LED Ultrawide HD Monitor (3840 x 1600) / Track IR4 / Thrustmaster TPR Pendular Rudder Pedals / Virpil HOTAS VPC Constellation ALPHA-R & VPC MongoosT-50CM3 Throttle
9LBhammer Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 Make sure G-sync is turned on in Nvidia control panel, and vsync turned off in game.
Fakum Posted January 9, 2020 Author Posted January 9, 2020 yes, that is currently the case, but thanks Windows 10 Pro - 64 Bit / ASUS ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming / AMD 7800X3D / G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO 64GB DDR5 6000 Ram / SSD M.2 SK hynix Platinum P41 2TB / MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 SUPRIM Liquid X 24G / SteelSeries Arctis 7 Headset /LG-Ultragear 38" IPS LED Ultrawide HD Monitor (3840 x 1600) / Track IR4 / Thrustmaster TPR Pendular Rudder Pedals / Virpil HOTAS VPC Constellation ALPHA-R & VPC MongoosT-50CM3 Throttle

Fakum Posted January 9, 2020 Author Posted January 9, 2020 Thanks for the tip, I will have to read thru this entirely though. I will say this, I have Gsync enabled for Full screen and Windowed, because I prefer to have the ability to ALt-Tab out of DCS while in the game, if that makes sense? Dont even know if that is an issue? I would think not? Fakum Posted January 9, 2020 Author Posted January 9, 2020 What the heck are the following in DCS? I know I can uncheck (and it already is) VSync in DCS options, but what are the others? "Disable all available “Vertical Sync,” “V-SYNC,” “Double Buffer,” and “Triple Buffer” options" Windows 10 Pro - 64 Bit / ASUS ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming / AMD 7800X3D / G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO 64GB DDR5 6000 Ram / SSD M.2 SK hynix Platinum P41 2TB / MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 SUPRIM Liquid X 24G / SteelSeries Arctis 7 Headset /LG-Ultragear 38" IPS LED Ultrawide HD Monitor (3840 x 1600) / Track IR4 / Thrustmaster TPR Pendular Rudder Pedals / Virpil HOTAS VPC Constellation ALPHA-R & VPC MongoosT-50CM3 Throttle
Togg Posted January 10, 2020 Posted January 10, 2020 (edited) The others are parameters that you may find in games. It means only that you have to disable all in game options related to the display whatever they are. Edited January 10, 2020 by Togg [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] https://github.com/Togg-streamdeck/dcs
