The video shows that sams do not see JSOW F18, but they see china "JSOW" and shoot at it with everything that can shoot. I won’t be surprised if infantrymen shoot at them.

I have SAMs shoot at JSOWs all the time. For example, if there is a BUK site and some TORs at a base, I have to bring a full set of JSOWs to even have the chance of taking out a base SAM site. Both the BUK and TORs intercept them. I have to launch and fly really close to the base so they start shooting at me first. Even then, they will quickly change targets and intercept all or most of my weapons. I think they changed the behavior of SAMs or something very recently.

 

Although...it does seem that the base defenses react differently to GB6/LS6 where literally EVERYTHING will shoot at them.

F18 Jsow intercepts SAM Buk \ tor \ s300, but they are not shot by a manpad or a hammer driver with a pistol. :D

Yeah, JSOWs do get engaged by double digit SAMs/shorads, or at least used to be on some servers.

 

I've had great Joy dropping GB-6's on hawk sites on blue flag though :) (nothing shoots at GB-6 on that server from what I've seen or JSOW).

 

I suspect there also may be some server side scripting that effects the behavior.
