[RESOLVED]Since 2.5.6, no sound.

Hello,

 

 

Since the update to 2.5.6 was made, DCS have no sound. (Yes only DCS, other programs plays sound)

 

Unless I launch it with administrator rights! Administrator will not be always here for this, so if someone have some tips or things to try, I take.

Hi, i have the same problem.

But that dont work for me.

 

 

Still no sound.

 

 

Yes, i started the DCS.exe as Administrator, not the updater instead.

Tried the Repair function of DCS too. No sound.

Administrator do not want this solution, Admin test was for test purpose only. He say that for security reason programs don't have to run in admin when not in an admin session :'(

 

 

I made a cleanup and repair with no result on sound.

I checked my audio config in windows properties and there is just stereo speakers... Why is it trying to load 8 channels!?

So finally I have sound :)

 

 

Uninstalled Realtek driver and Nahimic.

Then installed Realtek driver again. (Not Nahimic) ==> It works.

 

 

Why only DCS was in trouble? Sometimes IT made me crasy... and I work in xD

Reinstall Drivers confirmed.

Worked at my PC too.

 

 

I have Realtek HD Audio too.

 

 

But Sound on Speakers and Rift dont worked before.

Hi there,

 

Now I have the no sound issue in 2.5.6.43931 with my wireless headset. In the previous version I had to fiddle with the sound options and select which headset to use and I got it to work.

 

I removed and reinstalled the sound driver, ran it like an admin, still no sound over my wireless headset.
