GrEaSeLiTeNiN Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 (edited) I use a Bose Soundlink Revolve + via Bluetooth to my laptop. No mods. After the 15 Feb update (2.5.6).... a) The in-game audio (commns, engine, etc) has some crackling noises. Any ideas (beside connecting an audio cable to the speaker)? b) Menu options for sound don't seem to work properly. Volume controls for Default speakers option don't seem to work. I didn't have these two problem before the update. Was something done to the sound files? Harlikwin Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 Yeah, one the warning files does it in my experience, plus it sounds like there is a mouse click at the end of it. GrEaSeLiTeNiN Posted February 19, 2020 Author Posted February 19, 2020 Tried various sounds options in Windows and also disconnected/reconnected bluetooth but still crackling. I don't get any crackling with Battlefield, YouTube or MP3 song files. Only in DCS it seems though it never happened before 2.5.6. Tiger-II Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 It'll be something in DCS. Just because other software works doesn't mean this will. Does it happen with other *modules* is the more interesting question. If yes, then it's a DCS problem. GrEaSeLiTeNiN Posted February 20, 2020 Author Posted February 20, 2020 Yes it happens with my other modules - f18, f16. Something’s happened to the sound files in 2.5.6 that seems to affect Bluetooth transmission.
