Stanomatic Posted February 24, 2020 Posted February 24, 2020 I don't know what I did but I can no longer center my TrackIr to the center of my HUD. I tried a DCS repair. No luck. I jumped in the A-10, F-15 and no issues there. The planes start out centered and my center switch works in both mods. When I start a quick mission in F-16, the view has me looking off to the upper right. I can trick TrackIr by looking further to the upper right, hit F12 for center then relax my head back to center position and the view straightens out but that is not really how this used to work. :) Should I blow away my config files? Uninstall F-16? Has this happened to anyone? Appreciate the help, Stanomatic
Jabbers_ Posted February 24, 2020 Posted February 24, 2020 Ya usually this means a snapview for center got saved and you need to either overwrite it or just delete the snapview file ... I believe its in saved games\DCS\config\view\server.lua, inside you will see contents similar to ViewSettings["P-51D"] = { Cockpit = { [1] = {-- player slot 1 CockpitLocalPoint = {-1.500000,0.618000,0.000000}, CameraViewAngleLimits = {20.000000,120.000000}, CameraAngleRestriction = {false,90.000000,0.500000}, CameraAngleLimits = {200,-80.000000,90.000000}, EyePoint = {0.025000,0.100000,0.000000}, ShoulderSize = 0.15, Allow360rotation = false, limits_6DOF = {x = {-0.050000,0.450000},y ={-0.200000,0.200000},z = {-0.220000,0.220000},roll = 90.000000}, }, }, -- Cockpit Chase = { LocalPoint = {-6.250000,1.800000,0.0000}, AnglesDefault = {0.000000,-0.500000}, }, -- Chase Arcade = { LocalPoint = {-21.500000,5.618000,0.000000}, AnglesDefault = {0.000000,-8.000000}, }, -- Arcade } Either delete the code for the F-16, or dump the file completely Twitch2DCS - Bring twitch chat into DCS. Stanomatic Posted February 25, 2020 Author Posted February 25, 2020 Thank you Jabbers_, I tried deleting the file and that did not work. I do believe it does have something to do with snap views. I am thinking deleting / uninstalling F-16 and re-installing. Really strange. Thanks again for the suggestion. Stan
Stanomatic Posted February 25, 2020 Author Posted February 25, 2020 FIXED: I did a search on snapview and found C:\Users\stan\Saved Games\DCS\Config\View\SnapViews.lua. I deleted the file and back to normal. Jabbers_ you pointed me in the right direction. Thank you. Stan
JG14_Smil Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 R SHIFT and R CTRL, combined with keypad arrow keys and * / keys move the camera exactly where you want it. R ALt and KP 0 then save that position. Very useful. Make sure it is enabled in game settings. Learn to make DCS your own.
