Hello everyone,

i hope someone could help me with this.

DCS crashes on the loadingscreen of the mission.

So i can start the game, login, change setting and so on but i can not get into a local game.

Looking at the log file i can see the issue is (full log file attached):

DCS/2.5.6.43931 (x86_64; Windows NT 10.0.18363)

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\d3d11.dll

# C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION at 967BF4F0 00:00000000

what i already tried:

for the game:

uninstalled and reinstalled

renamed c:\users\USERNAME\Saved Games\DCS folder

ran a file validation in steam

tested on low, medium and high graphics settings

for windows

updated Graphics driver

updated windows

sfc /scannow

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

chkdsk of all the disks involved

uninstalled antivirus

still the same

I know my graphics card is not the best but it ran "fine" in windows 7.

The issue exists since a fresh install of windows 10 (no update from windows 7).

thanks

Hi everyone,

just in case some is searching for this problem.

In the end it turned out my graphics card was dying and this seemed to be a sign of it. So the card lastet for one more month with more and more issues i could not pinpoint and then finally died.

thread can be closed again all issues resolved with the new card.

Thanks again to BigNewy for the help
