My TM Cougar HOTAS gimbal broke in half on me so I decided to upgrade to the Virpil WarBRD base for my Cougar joystick handle.

Since it's coming from oversees (I'm USA) I figure it's going to take at least a couple of weeks.

In the meantime I decided to pickup a cheap substitute until my new base comes in.

I know I had a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro somewhere in the house but that was years ago and damned if I know where it is.

So I picked up another one at the local Best Buy on the way home tonight. Got lucky. They only had one stick left and believe it or not it looked like the only stick they carried and the only one they bothered to have in stock..WTF??!! Box looked new and unopened so I grabbed it. $35 with tax.

Anyway brought it home plugged it into my Dell G3 gaming laptop and nothing. Windows doesn't even show the stick in my list of available devices.

Switched it from the 3.1 USB port to one of the 2.0 ports and still nothing. Never had a problem with this stick being recognized when I was running it back on Windows 7.

Does anybody know why it wouldn't be working?:(

DOA ? I used to have that stick long ago and It was detected by windows almost instantly and no need to install driver whatsoever.

Try to connect it via USB powered hub.

just bought one today.

Amazon should have it to me tomorrow.

Since I'm going all USB for throttle, joystick and rudder pedals I figured I'd need one.

I've tried the controller on both my 2.0 USB ports and my 3.1 port. Nothing.

When I go into device manager it doesn't even show the stick exist.

Found the problem.

Hate to even say it.

I was plugging the old TM Cougar USB and not the Logitech.

That's why it didn't show at all. DUHHH!!!:poster_oops:
