First post. DCS crashes after about 10 secs after menu selection screen. This is the first time in five years that I have ever had a problem updating DCS. Any help appreciated. Have excluded run, updater etc from Bit Defender and have ran repair and clean.

please attach your dcs log from your saved games dcs logs folder it should give us some clues

I had the exact same problem when I tried to switch from stable to open beta to check the new 2.5.6...I think I tried all troubleshooting...but no luck. Even the log had no special info, it was just ending with the main menu opening.

I just went back to stable thinking it was a problem coming from the switch from a version to the other.

Try to delete the folder C:\Users\***\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\ImagesShop before launching DCS.

Thanks BIGNEWY. Have attached log. In the interim I will follow your crash troubleshooting instructions. I do have VoiceAttack installed.

Created a new DCS.openbeta in saved games but still crashing.

We would like you to enable a full log for debug

 

please see the attach file place it in

 

C:\Users\yourname\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config

 

it will give us more information in your dcs log

Added config file and attached comparison log. Windows 10 and Nvidia drivers latest updates.

After following the threads on crashes I deleted the ImagesShop file in the Saved Games folder as advised by BIGNEWY and delighted that I am now up and flying and enjoying version 2.5.6 on my Rift S. Every time before I log in I have to delete the file but I,m sure this will be sorted soon.

Hi all

 

It is possible this is antivirus related, excluding the folders from your antivirus may help

 

For testing please exclude / whitelist your dcs install and dcs saved games location

 

then restart your PC and test dcs

 

let us know if it helps or not.
