Can "QDES" be shared or transfer/transmitted to another aircraft in Multiplayer ?

Hi,

I was wonder if "QDES" when using the lantirn-pod can be send/tranmitted to another F14 if you play in Multiplayer. See from Heatblur manual they states this : "Link 4C on the other hand allows up to four F-14 Tomcats to interconnect and share target tracks to coordinate their engagements".

So what kind of shared target can be shared using datalink called 4C, some q:

1. Can QDES be transfer to another multiplayer aircraft?

2. what kind of target can be shared/tranfered (tank/submairne, house, airplane) ?

3. Do anyone have more details either technical or "how-to-use" than the heatblur manual or Chucks manual have, think there may be some some lack of details missing or have I maybe missed some :-) ?

4. Or maybe someone have a diff or good way to share target with each other, like when you are in a mission and suddenly discover new targets and need to

share them with your wingman :-)

Any advise comments are welcome :-)

Only replying to say I have not seen that being used. I have however seen tomcat AFAC giving gps from the lantirn over the radio b/c is more accurate then the INS.

I will then GUESS that this is it not possible because the lantirn is a self contained system and not integrated into the ins of the jet. There would be no way to connect it to the datalink.

That is correct.

Lantirn is a one way system. So only data from the Tomcat to the Lantern can be transported. Not the other way.

So there is no possibility to share anything from the Lantirn over Datalink.

You can tell your buddy the coordinates, so he can add them into one of his waypoints.
