  1. Where do I find multiplayer tracks? I will try the posted workaround and report back
  2. When switching from NAV mode to A-G with a selected dumb bomb in CCRP mode, the SPI is not over the waypoint and I am unable to use hud steering. This occurs when I edit a steer point prior to takeoff in multiplayer. No tgt pod loaded. I am having to stay in NAV and switch to AG last second with CCIP.
  3. Didn’t see anything about this is the upcoming patch notes. I remember hearing that bolters would be more common with updated hook physics including hook skip bolters. I always welcome more punishment for my errors in game. Please gib love you heatblur
  4. Only replying to say I have not seen that being used. I have however seen tomcat AFAC giving gps from the lantirn over the radio b/c is more accurate then the INS. I will then GUESS that this is it not possible because the lantirn is a self contained system and not integrated into the ins of the jet. There would be no way to connect it to the datalink.
  5. I can reproduce this. After case 1 break - as you dirty up and reduce airspeed, use the stick to hold onspeed. Then hold trim to try and relieve stick pressure. Not sure if feature or bug. Seems like a bug -
  6. The cat is no viper but It can hold its own vs anything if flown well. The cat loves 300-325kts for best turns - little slower than other jets. If you are getting bad buffet you are exceeding the best AoA for whatever weight / altitude / speed you are. 15-17 units AOA is where you max sustained turn is. Don’t pull more unless you will die or can get guns on. If you do you turn that massive lifting body into one huge air take. Try starting level with no bad guys- light the burners and start a flat turn watching your AoA gauge. Peg it at 15-17 - feel that light buffet? Memorize what it sounds like. In a dogfight u can’t look at the gauge you will have to feel / hear it. Now vs older stuff - 21,A4, F5 etc. use the vertical. I like to wait for them to load up on G to match my turn and then take it upstairs. They cannot follow you up and you get all that extra turning room to come down behind em. Vs newer stuff I tend to take em one circles and use the cats awesome turning radius - just fly your best jet and you can get your guns on!! Hope this helps
  7. Almost every photo I see of F-14s have external fuel. If anybody knows, was it standard to always brings bags when on the boat? Was this always the case? Even in the A? Did they train with bags on traps / BFM?
  8. It’s the transonic region and there is buffet from .9-1.2M IRL. Unload the jet and accelerate through it! .5g bunt Are you saying that it should be more like .95?

  10. In my practice, the AI will execute a perfect notch vs sparrow shots, typically combined with a diving turn. This breaks my lock most of the time and trashes the Missile. I understand this is a weakness of PD - but what are some RIO techniques or Pilot tactics to help babysit your sparrow shots from a bandit turning to the notch? An example: I am in STT at 12 miles and have just Fox 1. I see the bandits Vc rapidly decreasing - Do I go pulse? Do we turn into him? Do we dive beneath him and turn off MLC? Anyone having success? Thanks
  11. Same issue here... Whats make it even more confusing is I can log in to the DCS website on my mobile as long as I stay off my WIFI. I called my ISP and they claim they have no idea what the hell is going on.... They also can not access the website but could using LTE.... A friend of mine who is in a completly different city/ different ISP (in Texas) is having the exact same problem. I submitted a trouble ticket.... I will post any updated to this thread
  12. LOL so I read this post, and go grab a X52 on amazon.. Then I read that there is alot of problems with the X52. Am I going to have a big issue setting up a HOTAS with it? or are all these threads from the beta?> I assume that people have figured it out by now....hopefully

I have used the search function to find as much as I can on this topic but If you guys dont mind I would like to get some additional information about how you guys go about setting up your HOTAS. Since I do not have a realistic A-10 setup.. I would like to know what Hotas function you would belive to Critical to have mapped to my Throttle/Stick. Since I have knowledge of the f-16 hotas setup it should be easy to explain it to me. I know that slewing cursors and targeting displays is something that I want to have mapped.And be able to switch SOI on the FLY Also I would like to add that I plan on doing most of my flying in the future in the multiplayer enviroment If that changes anything.... As of right now.. All i have on my HOTAS setup is Trim. Thank you very much for any input.
  14. Thank alot guys.. I would love to join up for some multiplayer flights but at the moment I need to get up to speed with the Avionics\Flight model. As soon as I feel comfortable that I can do the basics, I will jump into multi with whoever I can. Another quick question... I hear alot of talk about CBU being bugged. From the research I did on the forum it seems that the CBU 87 is incapable of killing armored targets? The CBU 97 is modeled incorrectly (honestly thats expected by me, if this was done correctly it would be AMAZING). So i guess my main question is What CBU are working properly on armor at the moment, and does spin rates, burst alt matter in weapon effectiveness in this simulator. THANKS AGAIN MeRLiN
  15. Hey everybody, This is my first post on these forums. I was a active pilot on the Free falcon and Open Falcon forums and flew countless hours of multiplayer missons on these sims. I first off wanted to say hI to this new community, and let everyone know that I am excited about getting to know the warthog! However, as I begin I know there is a large learning curve ahead of me, I can familiarize myself with the aircraft\weapon systems, but.... I have no Idea about A10 AtoG tactics... Even normal cruise Alt/speed. Is there a place where I can begin to read about these? (outside manual ofcourse) For instance... What do you guys use as your hard deck if there is a Heavy SAM threat. What alt do gun passes occour? What is a good optimum cruising alt for a A10 assuming little to no payload? What is a good combat ingress alt? Thank you in advance anyone that responds.. BTW Sobek if you are still here WAS UP BUDDY?;)
