Cpt Cuckoo Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 Well...I wasn't planning on buying anything for quite some time because I only purchased the F-18 and Nevada a couple of weeks ago and am still learning it. But I just noticed the free week-end and sale so I DL the F-16 to try out and really like it. There maybe a problem though or maybe it's just me. I'm having a problem mapping some of the flight controls to my ThrustMaster for some reason. The sale is good so I'll probably just buy it AND the Persian Gulf map. What the hell!

Now I am trying to learn how to fly it and land without the plane tipping over with the slightest rudder movement on the ground. The nose wheel steering is crazy sensitive even tuned down. THe plane acts like it is on a knife edge when taxing around. I am playing in one server and everyone is flying it now and there are about 40+ in the server.lol The frames are suffering so i went to instant mission to fly. The plane is so much more stable than the hornet. That may be because the F16 is not really as high fidelity of a model. I hope they keep developing it. You just need more times to get used to it. Just little touch and gentle on the rudder then you should be fine. DCS F-16 Viper is HiFi model. Its still WIP. Its great AA airframe, fast and agile. I have both Hornet and Viper and I found the Hornet little bit sluggish compared to the Viper. Love flying both of them. Mastering others is strength. Mastering yourself is true power. - Lao Tze
